Excellent! But does not support HD!
This is the best capture card available; and it's affordable and worth it!..As long as you don't mind that you won't be able to use it for HD Video.However, it is perfect for standard DVD quality video.It won't make your videos look like DVD's unless you begin with DVD quality.The quality you capture will be the quality it will reproduce.I searched websites untill my eyes bled to find this, because I was so tempted to by the Pinnacle card, which is a piece of crap.There are other good cards out...

Easy installation & use
It's installation took me 20 minutes at most. After that, I've got an excellent capture board working without the need of installing any piece of software (since my Windows XP is always up to date).I strongly recommend it....

Not compatible with Windows 98
Be aware that this product needs Windows ME or 2000 and does not run on 98....

Good product
It is really easy to install and the software ran without any problem using Windows 2000 with service pack 3. I would recommend buying a ADVC 1394 bay for easy connections.The software do not run well under Windows XP with service pack 1 installed due to a bug in service pack 1. Typical of Microsoft. You will need to download a patch from Canopus website.Customer supports are average. At least, they answer your emails even though the answer is not quite helpful in solving the problems in Windows...

Excellent way to save your old home movies
This is actually a ADVC-1394 analog-to-digital converter card made by Canopus ....Installation was a breeze and using it was just as simple.I can now easily transfer my home movies (Hi8) and old VHS tapes to digital form for DVD archiving.It came with good software and an adapter to make it easy to plug my camcorder in and use.I'm very impressed with this professional-quality product!It has a firewire port in it, so now I can use firewire devices in the future - an added bonus.I highly recommend...
