Secure Zone can be problematic

I created a Secure Zone and a disk image on my internal hard drive. I was very pleased with the True Image software. It seemed easy to use and reliable. Then I decided to delete the Secure Zone so that I could reclaim the hard drive space and create a new Secure Zone and image on a recently purchased external drive. Leaves Ghost in the dust ! Great results either using it installed or booting via CD

I never used the trial versions and then later upgradedby purchasing the serial # or key # like some other reviewers did.I did use the demo before buying the retail box, but then REMOVED the demo.I bought the retail boxed version.Many reasons to love it:1. Works perfectly

I've been trying a number of backup programs and thought I had a pretty good one but needed something that would create a drive image and so bought Acronis for that purpose. However, it worked so well for the image backup, that I also tried it for my regular backups. Now it's the only backup program I use.The first time I needed it, I was delighted to find that it could restore a Windows disk from within Windows. It had to reboot to do it, of course, but once I got it started, I could walk away...

Acronis True Image Backup 9.0

In terms of value, reliability, and ease of use, Acronis True Image 9 stands head and shoulders above most of the other backup software out there (e.g. Ghost, Dantz Retrospect, to name but two). Don't look to the folks at Acronis for great product support, however, because you're not likely to get it ... at least I never have, in the three years or so that I've been using their products. Hit Or Miss

This piece of software would be really useful if it was more reliable. I find that more often or not it will not restore what I have backed up, and will give unspecific error messages as to why the restoration failed. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - that's unacceptable when you're depending on this to back up your data....
