Adios Norton & McAfee

Finally, a security program that is as good or better than Norton and McAfee. Kept Norton for a number of years, but it screwed up my pc. A new pc came with McAfee, which worked ok, but I hated the constant emails from them and the anti-spam would not work with Eudora. Finally got rid of McAfee when they "offered" to renew at $20 more than I could buy it retail.I've had no problems installing or running Kaspersky. Price was a bit high, but you get what you pay for. I would suggest running a registry...

Interloper! And don't even TRY running earthlink access with it!

The good news is, this software provieds adequet protection online. The bad news is, it protects itsSELF from you(the ADMINISTRATOR) from tampering with YOUR files! It does not go well with games(my prime use of PCs period) and in fact ruins the files as you cannot access gamefiles IN GAMES and I POINT OUT I had it supposedly DISabbled too.Oh, and you cannot turn it off in the Windows services area(ACCESS DENIED DAVE!) Uninstallation is a ponderous task as well as you have to go in and turn all services...

Solid Suite

I have been a pretty happy, satisfied Trend Micro PC Cillin user for many years now. Not too long ago I downloaded the 2007 version of their suite.friend of mine did too. We both ran into some fairly wacky problems; Hers evens worse than mine. Decided 2007, though it has potential, wasn't quite ready for prime time yet. May check on it again in a few months.Kaspersky's antiviral reputation has been very high for years, and so I thought I would drop PC Cillin and take their suitefor a spin.No problems...

The Best and Effective Security Product.

I am a data communication analyst and have lots of experience and knowledge when it comes to data security and system performance. I have used Norton products and was a loyal user though they add several services and entries to the auto run key in the registry for no good reason thereby negatively impacting system performance especially if you use laptop. Whenever I installed Norton product I had to tweak the registry in order to stop unnessary drain of system resources.I tried Kaspersky Internet...
