New Version Is Complete Garbage

I too was excited about the new version of Paint Shop Pro. Then I installed it. It takes 2.5-6 minutes to start it with common operations that used to be done in real time taking seconds. Also the new layout of the dialog boxes add unnessicary extra clicks and moved useful functions like quick preview to inconvinient places. This together with it crashing 50% of the time I run it.Corel now admits that the program is really slow when you have a large image library and say they are working on a solution...

Really an excellent photo editing program w/ instructional disk.

* I had read the Amazon reviews dinging PSP XI and was a little apprehensive about upgrading from version X. After installing XI and restarting the computer, the program crashed hard two times in a row. That was after a clean restart each time. That WAS worrisome, however, I've used it successfully for over a month now to process many hundreds of pictures without so much as a quiver. Buggy

I create digital scrapbooking graphics and frequently save items in .png format - which, with this program, can't be done properly.It does not retain the transparency.If you save it with the optimizer, you get an ugly background.Without the optimizer, it tricks you into thinking it is alright because it looks transparent to you - however, opening it in any other program (such as PSE, PSCS, PSP9, PSPX, etc) the transparency is replaced by a white background.As of yet, there is no fix for this.It...

Paint Shop Pro Just Keeps Getting Better!

I have been a user of Paint Shop Pro since Version 7. Paint Shop Pro Photo X1 has so many new features.I use my Paint Shop Pro XI for making graphics but I also use it for scrapbooking purposes.
