In Nancy Drew: The Creature Of Kapu Cave, Nancy travels to Hawaii as a research assistant for Dr. Quigley Kim to determine why the population of native caterpillars has exploded. The Hardy Boys, on a separate covert operation, are also visiting -- and both stumble across the mystery of the Hilihili research compound and its evil vibes. Some believe it's linked to the legend of Kane ?Okala. Local legend has it that a long time ago, a man was sacrificed to the hungry volcano to appease it. Kane ?Okala, or "the rough-skinned man," later escaped from the volcano, but he was scarred for life with a rough-skinned and frightening appearance. When Nancy arrives at Camp Quigley, she sees a monster ravaging the camp, and soon discovers that Dr. Quigley is missing! Could the monster she saw be Kane ?Okala? She'll have to team up with the Hardy Boys to find out!

ND: Creature of Kapu Cave

It seems as though Her Interactive is running out of ideas when it comes to their puzzles. The game takes place in Hawaii. In Kapu Cave Nancy Drew joins up with the Hardy Boys. Unlike Last Train to Blue Moon Junction where the Hardy Boys sit and don't do much of anything, in Kapu Cave the player can switch back and forth between Nancy and the Hardy Boys. They meet only once at the beginning of the game. After that when playing the Hardy Boys, for the most part it is to help Nancy find information...

Disappointingly Brief - but the Hardy Boys Were Fun

I admit it... I'm a 40 year old addict to the Nancy Drew games.It s a great "retro" escape from work related woes and I special ordered this game to occupy my whole weekend and distract me.To my dismay, the whole game was completed by 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.And that included a lot of extra fishing and bead stringing that was not relevant to the game progress.I loved the addition of the Hardy Boys (always had a crush on them) but that did not make up for the utter lack of puzzling puzzles.I didn't...

Too short for the money......VERY disappointed!!!!!!!

I have played every Nancy Drew game that has come out, and I have never been this disappointed!!This was too short, and you didn't even know what the people had done who were arrested in the end!!The story line was good.Seems like it should have really went somewhere, but no, it didn't.The puzzles were too simple (and believe you me, I have the most trouble with puzzles).Very disappointed in HER Interactive!Don't rush it next time...it's better to wait for a great one, than to get it fast and beat...

Short and Sweet

Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave is the fifteenth game in the Nancy Drew Computer Game series. hike and snorkel in Hawaii

I am a lover of all the Nancy drew games, some more than others. This latest of the series is a fresh assignment with fresh scenery and the nice twist is meeting Joe and Frank Hardy and being able to play as them as well as Nancy. As you progress in the game and call the boys at one point your phone will turn purple and you will be on the beach and suddenly you will be Joe instead of Nancy, whenever you need to swap back, call the other person up.
