much needed memory

I recently purchased an iBook G4 on ebay, with only 256 mb of ram.I purchased this 512 stick, a bit nervous that it wouldn't be enough being that I could have got a 1 gig stick.However, it has worked out to be more than plenty and seems to be very quality.I've had no application instability since, including battery, plugged in, and hot conditions....

BIG G4 boost

Really improved iBook G4 12''.I was surprised at how high Apple store was on RAM.I do not know if theirs is better, but I doubt it is 2x better (the equivalent in cost as of August 2005)....

Wow! It feels like a processor upgrade...

I started to really feel the slowdown after installing Tiger on my 14" iBook 933 mHz. I broke down and paid the price for the memory (after all 256 MB isn't that much these days) and upped it to 640 now after installing this chip. It was very easy to install, just popped one out, popped it in. Wow! Feels like I upgraded my processor; things are flying along now and very few slowdowns. Very happy I upgraded....

Good Value on 512MB RAM for a PowerBook G4 1GHz 12"

If you're not sure if this is the right part for your computer, check Viking's Memory Configurator at www.vikingcomponents.com. As other reviewers have noted, I found this item will also fit the iMac 17" 1GHz. No problem

installing this memory.I purchased this item thru Amazon on Nov 20 and it was delivered on the 24th.I installed it in about 15 minutes,( it took me longer than that to find my phillips head screwdriver), and had 768mb of ram.Nice.Another reviewer said to apply pressure when snapping the module in place,and he's right.Be careful,but don't be timid.This is a great way to soup-up an already fast computer.I'm happy....
