Product Description
The UH104 supports 1 upstream and 4 downstream ports, with data transfer rates of up to 12Mbps (100 times faster than regular serial ports). You can connect up to 6 Tiers, or add more USB hubs and connect up to 127 other devices, such as a keyboard, mouse, modem, network adapter, webcam, digital camera, and much more.
Additional features include supports of both Open Guaranteed Hub performance and Host Controller Interface (OHCI) and Universal Host Controller Interface (UHCI) to provide hardware compatibility with other USB hubs and devices. It supports full 12Mbps and 1.5Mbps devices, provides per-port over current detection and protection and per-port power ready and over current LEDs. The UH104 is wall mountable and hot swappable, measures 65 mm x 48 mm x 28mm, and weighs 122 g.

Does Not Work with Flash Drive
Take this note of caution: This works fine for items that have to "Power up" for instance an external DVD drive or the connection to my PSP. But it doesn't work when I plug in my flash drive. (The Flash drive works fine when I plug it in directly to the USB port on the computer, BTW.) Unfortunately using this device, I have to reboot my computer each time when I plug it in so it can "see" the drive. Once it's unplugged, the drive goes away and when you plug the drive back in, it won't come back...

Great Price But Not As Useful As Should Be
I bought this so that I could attach several USB devices without fishing around in back of my PC or laptop.I does do what is says in that it provides four USB ports as if they were a part of your computer and it is easy to use.Unfortunately the design has the ports a little too crowded together.My problem comes in that one of my devices is a thumb drive.When I plug it in, it partially block the three other ports.To avoid that, I have to put an extension on the drive thus making for a lot of extra...

This one did the job.
This 4 port mini-hub does exactly what it says it will do.My computer came equipped with only 2 usb ports and as I have five items that require usb connection I was constantly switching back and forth.I had tried another brand (Belkin) that simply did not work for my purposes.Now with the Hawking mini-hub, I have my printer, mouse, and pedesign (embroidery) plugged into it and all work great.Another plus is the price that I paid was very reasonable....less than half what I paid for the Belkin that...

Very useful/convenient
My office machine is 2 years old, with USB ports in the back - rather inconvenient to plug in my USB Zip drive or a digital camera (old 1.3 MP!)This worked out very well for me, I fixed it to the CPU tower using a piece of velcro.The discounted price made it a real steal....

Simple and effective
This hub is simple and effective.It splits 1 usb 1.1 port into 4 usb 1.1 ports (beware, the 12 Mbps usb speed is *shared* between all the devices connected to the usb port, you don't get 4 12 mbps ports, this is by design)I recommend getting usb 2.0 instead of 1.1, but if you don't need usb 2.0, this hub is enough....
