Works for Intel 845 chipset motherboard

My computer is Sony Vaio P-4 1.6GHz (PCV-RX551). This RAM works fine with my vaio. I followed the step the previous review suggested to move this RAM into DIMM1 and move the original one to DIMM2. No conflict at all. I was troubled by finding the right memory for my vaio at first time. I did lots of homework and using Kingston, SimpleTech, Egde, Viking Components, these companies' memory configure helper, but their suggestion either couldn't be found in the market or twice the price as this RAM...

great memory upgrade

I installed this 256MB DIMM in a new Sony 1.8 GB VAIO desktop, which came with 256MB RAM - which should have given me 512MB, but when I started the machine up... I started getting an error sound-code, so I shut down the system. I had tried installing the Viking DIMM in the #2 slot ... since this failed I tried removing the original DIMM from the #1 slot and installing the new DIMM in it's place. I moved the Sony DIMM to #2 and re-booted. This time the Sony came to life and registered 512MB.The Viking...

256 MB Memory Upgrade

I upgraded a PC (Celeron processor) with this DIMM. I was amazed with the speed of the computer, the programs are loading instantly! I would recommend it to anyone, it would be a decision well made....
