Works pretty good

At first, i was angry because my computer would not read the dang thing. Then i did quite a bit of delving into my computer and looked at the ports and figured it out. U need to use the cd to install it. The things on the cd were pretty useful. There we no instructions on how to do it though. I dont know if they just failed to put it in or they think u can do it on ur own. Once i got it working things were fine, except it takes forever to burn stuff. One really good thing is that it is so quiet...

NOT What It Says ???

Bought this for a friend in US:While it says Iomega on the box, but is, in fact a lite-on, according to Nero.I have NEVER had a decent lite-on burner yet!!!!!!(Three stars given, as i couldnt leave blank)...

False Advertising

I bought this drive from my local CompUSA for two reasons: I needed to backup my files, and I thought it would be cool to watch DVD movies on my Mac. The software for the DVD player was supposed to be included, right?? Wrong. DVD support on Macintosh less than sterling

For a product that is supposed to support PCs and Macintosh you would think that hardware limitation for DVD would be spelled out but no such luck.While the CD-RW works reasonablly well it does take a little getting use to.However the DVD part is where this drive has the biggest problems.The packaging says G3 or better but the fact of the matter isApple's DVD Player does not work on external drives on the older G3s and while the box said it supports MacOS X there is no alterernative DVD player provided...
