Subwoofer busted way before Harmon Kardon
The Harmon Kardon 2.1 still standing in the other room came with pc the year of 2001, the I-Trigue 3300 was bought at store in 2003 and gave out on the subwoofer - considering I wear headphones most of the time, durability with this product is doubtful.Same thing happened with Creative mp3 player - no lasting enjoyment. Bad customer support. Not worth it....

Sweetness
I was worried about the steep price for a 2.1 for my laptop. All doubts were erased when I plugged these babies into the port.Great audio, pumping bass that goes as heavy or soft as you want, ample cord length, nice design and aesthetics.I love my new speakers!...

it's the sub, silly.
i have bought 8 boxes of these from $80-100 each; 4 for myself (made a cheap-n-good ambisonic "surround" system) and 4 for friends that didn't have decent sound when i went over to their house :)thehighs are detailed and mids are smooth enough, but it's the sub design that works - box states 30hz and it actually goes down there or pretty close.i listen to and make electronic dance music which really wants that bass, and this is the system i bring with me to hotel rooms all over the world.it is usable...

Better than Logitech Z-3 by far
They look SAWEET! the sats can be a little tinny at times, depending on how loud it is. (Who needs their speakers so loud that the neighbors across the street can hear them?) They are beyond loud really, the sub hits like a baseball bat to the chest, i only need the bass on half to have my nice loud boom boom goin' on. The 1" (real metal, feel of em) titanium sattilite drivers are really impressive. The remote beats the bajeezus out of the Z-3 remote, except in weight. (it likes to move around on...

great sound, small, nice looking
In a store I listened carefully to some classical music on about 8 sets of speakers (both 2 speaker and 3 speaker sets) and chose Creative Labs 3300 as the best sound quality among those under $150 or so.The small size and attractiveness of the 3300's upright units was an added bonus.I just bought these and am very satisfied with them. They sound great!I did not experience any problems at all with shielding or magnetic interference with my computer monitor, as others have alluded to....
