Product Description

The 2100 3-piece speaker setup from Altec Lansing is an excellent audio solution for computer or home audio needs. Featuring two thin satellites and a compact subwoofer, the 2100 offers explosive sound without a high space cost. This combination offers a frequency response from 40 Hz to 20 kHz.

Each satellite is run by two aluminum-coned neodymium high-performance micro drivers for super signal accuracy. Powerful bass is supplied by the ported, dual front-firing subwoofer drivers, housed in a solid wooden cabinet.

The 2100 comes equipped with a standard 0.125-inch mini plug can be used with any personal audio device or computer equipped with sound card, and can be easily connected to a gaming console with an optional adapter.

Great 4 all music, movies, & gaming needs. Especially w/ PS2

Bought this system and hooked it up with my playstation2. Altec included a special cable to easily hook up both ps2 audio jacks into the satillites, while keeping your video jack in the tv. A lot of systems do not provide these cables, so this was a nice extra. Setup is easy. There is plenty of cord for a lot of reach. Slim design fits anywhere and looks PERFECT with the ps2 system, or anything in need of a modern look.Altec's sound is superb compared to your average tv. You paid $(...) for a gaming...

very nice. Volume control is annoying

The 2100's replaced an old set of Altec Lansing speakers I've had for years. These new ones are much nicer to look at, and provide plenty of clean sound for gaming and music. The tweeters have almost zero mid-range though, and the subwoofer doesn't provide much either, so you end up with a lot of highs and lows. The tweeters are very lightweight, and I find myself knocking them down now and then as I move things around on my desk--no big deal.On the downside, the speakers come with a clunky wired...

GREAT SPEAKERS

These speakers work amazingly if you know a fair amount about a computer if you are to use them with a computer. Get the newest drivers for your computer, use windows media player (or any player with an equalizer). Have your system volume level all the way up, and control the sound with the remote included with the speakers. Turn the treble way up, and you can decide how you like the bass, whether loud and deep, or low and quieter. Make sure you put the subwoofer in a place next to a wall, corner...

Good Speakers

These speakers are definetly the best speakers for under $100 and maybe even better than many that are over $100. The only thing is if you are using windows media player you will have to make some equilizer adjusments but after that they sound great, with nice deep bass and good treble...
