Nice features, but short-lived
I really liked the unit for the first 11.1 months, until the CD player spontaneously failed.Sony offered to exchange or repair it for about $80!In my opinion Sony has serious reliability problems in their non-portable audio and video consumer equipment--my Sony TV failed prematurely too....

Simplicity and sound at its best
I bought my wife one of these for Christmas. I have to admit that I was hesitant based on a number of negative reviews here but, this thing is perfect. It fits under our cabinets just fine with the supplied mounting pegs, installation took all of 10 minutes and the sound is better than you would expect from a unit like this. CD broken in a year
It looks and works great...if you just want the radio. The CD broke in a year - out of warranty.Very dissapointed....

CD player quality is questionable
We've had this product for under a year now.It is a useful addition to the kitchen,though the sound quality does not comapre to a hi-fi.Like others I find the console design slightly silly -It has a lovely turning knob that is assigned to an esotericfunction istead of volume setting.But the biggest issue is the CD player - ours is starting to falter after less than a year of very gentle use andzero jolting/moving. Be careful
Recently purchased this "RM" product with the historic Sonyconfidence only to be disappointed with the failure of the CD player. The Sony policy is yet to be resolved on the repair or replacement. Wish there were more manufactures to choose this product including mp3 capabilities....
