Open the box and you are ready to go

I own a roadmate 700 and have upgraded the software to a 760. I contacted Magellan and they walked me through the install step by step. Needless to say I was quite please with their courteous service. This is my first GPS and I am quite pleased with it. It's multiple routing options is a plus and I veered of course on purpose and it took me back to my route with no problems. The POI feature is great along with the various configuration options. I am going to purchase an external antenna as at times...

The Magellan RoadMate 760 is a very well designed unit.!

My first impression was that I had a tiger by the tail in that it's operating capabilities far exceed the manual's instructions! Using the info on the included CD plus getting adventuresome with the unfolding features, I have come away amazed at its capabilities. What could later models possibly have that this does not have? Plug it in and use it aptly describes it!...

Very good unit for the money

I've been using the Roadmate 760 now for about a month. Overall, this is a great unit, and I would highly reccommend it. There are a couple problems though.-Occasionally I could not get a signal for over 10 minutes trying to power it on and off, and then at about 15 minutes it just magically starts working normal... weird.-It does not compensate for speed too well when speaking directions, and the dinging too.-Also sometimes rerouting takes a long time if it doesnt figure out where you went right...

Great Price, Outdated Map

Real easy to learn.Frustrating at times.Overall, this product is a 3 out of 5 stars.My home address is in wood county, but map tells me I live in seneca county.My dad lives on columbus ave, map says its tiffin fostoria road.Points of interest are out dated.A simple update will take care of this problem.My concerns are the updates are coming soon (I hear), and I will have to pay $100 for it.I am tempted to return this product for a more recent map GPS system.Don't get me wrong, this unit is sweet...

No Gas, No problem: Hungry, no problem just rely upon this Nav

Its awesome. Easy to use. Tells you street names. I did run out of gas and was about 2 hours away from my home. All I did was stop and went through easy to read menus; and located a gas station less than I mile away: IT was a life saver....
