Poor build quality
Great sound, but the build quality is just not there. On a recent trip to Europe, the left bud completely fell apart and the leads became disconnected from the bass driver. They are only two months old and I always keep them in the case!I had to solder it back together and then super glue the bud back together.Since then I've also had to superglue the right bud as well. Also, the cable sheath is fraying over one bud lead, revealing the fine speaker wire underneath.I don't expect these phones to last...

Awesome!
First of all, these blow away the standard earbuds that came with my Sandisk Sansa.Instead of struggling to ear the words of my audio book on volume 9 (on a noisy train), I can clearly hear at volume 2 or 3.Brookstone sells the Shure brand earphones.I quickly compared my 5 Pros with the Shure E3c, E4c, and 500.Overall, my 5 Pros sounded richer than the 3's and 4's and sounded about the same as the 500.Some people have written that the bass on the 5 Pros is not that great. You should note that the...

Darn near perfect! (A comparison between UE Super.fi 5s and Shure E3s)
I received my UE Super.fi 5s about a week ago, and am pleased to report that they have proven everything they were built up to be.Having used a pair of Shure E3s for the last year or so, and had been very pleased with them, I give the edge to the UE Super.fi 5s for the following reasons:1.Two drivers (UE) are better one (Shure) -- Common sense dictates that dual drivers (assuming they are quality drivers, which UE's most certainly are) have the ability to offer a richer, more nuanced sound than...

Can I give it 6 stars?
Well, what can I say... this is hands down the best pair of earphones that I've tried so far. I went through:- (of course) the ipod cheapies that are horrible at everything except for giving you pain,- the ER-6i, which sucked so bad, they had to be returned to Amazon. They basically touched parts of my brain, literally, that's how deep they went in. I experienced pain and headaches almost instantly,- the Sony MDR-EX71SL, which was actually quite decent for the price ($29.99 on Amazon). They were...

Love 'em!
I found the sound fantastic. Just got these after usinf Shure E3s for about a year. I liked those but find these even better. When I first tried them I found the base so much stronger than the E3s as many have alluded to. Now I run my iPod at normal equalizer settings. I find the balance of the set dead on. The fit is great, of course your milage may vary. In fact they are so good at excluding air conduction that bone conduction becomes very noticable. This means when I walk with them I can hear...
