Product Description

All the rage in finer spas, heated stone relaxation therapy is said to help bring the mind and body into balance. Rather than pay steep spa fees, use this do-it-yourself kit and enjoy being pampered in the comfort of your own home. The kit comes with 20 natural stones and a covered electric basin in which to heat them. Using the included measuring cup, fill the basin with enough water to heat the stones and turn the power on. The heating process takes about 40 minutes (which may seem like a long time to wait, but is shorter than waiting to get an appointment with a professional) and a ready light turns on when the stones are the correct temperature. The kit includes tongs for removing the hot stones, and the manual shows diagrams of different ways to place stones to relieve tension in specific muscles. Two bottles of scented massage oil--lavender and rose--are packaged with the unit so you can use the hot stones to gently massage sore joints. This hot stone spa is covered by a limited one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

not worth your time or effort

I recently took a course in hot stone therapy. Before I took the course, I looked into this product for use in the course. However, after deciding to go with the one offered by the instructor of the course, I am so glad I did. The basalt stones used in the spa have unique properties that allow them to hold the heat longer and they are made unbelievably smooth in "nature's rock tumbler", the ocean. If you are interested in this type of treatment, I suggest going to a spa, or seeking out a qualified...

Ahhh...

I really love my heated stones. I add water to the bowl right before I put the kids to bed and they are ready as soon as everyone has gotten settled. I was concerned that sometimes they didn't seem to retain their heat. Now, I put a light weight blanket over myself and it seems to help. My sister also used these on her lower back when she was pregnant and she loved it....

Cold rock bath.

I thought I would get this as a birthday present for my friend. The stones take 40 minutes to heat. Once they are on your body, they become cold in about a minute. This is nothing like hot-stone therapy in real salon....

Great Product. should be owned by all massage professionals.

The product is well worth its price because the stones heat to the exact right temperature. You would likely burn yourself (and your loved one!) if you tried to duplicate that temperature in a crockpot or on your stove. Should be standard equipment for all massage therapists. Buy one for your massage therapist for Xmas. I got terrific relief from it. A great product for the price....

fun product, but use a heating pad

This is a unique item, but the stones go from being too hot to cold in about 1 minute. Save your money, get a heating pad instead...
