Durability
Purchased for install in a Canon S3 starting May 2006.Have downloaded about 3500 pictures and reformatted about 12 times.Last time (October 2006) downloads showed deterioration and grainyness.Have replaced with a new SD 1 gb.My first and only experience with durability and I was impressed.Cheers....

Fast and high quality
I use the 1GB SD Card in a "build your own USB device" and my HP digital camera. The SD Card interchanges to storing pictures to storing data files such as Excel & Word files to MP3 files. This is a great item, particulary at the prices listed. I expect to see these same prices on 4GB cards next year and will wait to upgrade at that time....

Kodak camera owners take note...
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR KODAK CAMERA OWNERS: In July 2006, I replaced a SanDisk regular SD card like this one with a SanDisk Ultra II card for my Kodak DX7590, because I was hoping that it would allow my camera to write high-quality 5MP pictures faster. Our cameras are designed to operate, write and read SD cards at set voltage speeds...

No "film changes" needed in my digicam
I love this SD card. 1 GB means I never run out of space on photo shoot days, even if I am using the top resolution on my Canon camera. Most cameras don't come with a large enough SD card, so I got the SanDisk on recommendation of a camera forum. This one is fast enough to handle the camera action and it works well. The price is right....

Locked Card Errors
I had one episode of a "locked card error" and did an on line search for answers.I found one review that said you have to take the card in to have it fixed. However, if you look at the side of the card there is a tiny tiny sliding plastic switch that is a different color than the body of the card.If this is accidently moved to the locked position the card is locked. All you have to do to unlock the card is slide this switch back. The card works great and I have no complaints....
