Good printer - not so good scanner.
I have had my DCP-8040 for a week now.I wanted a laser printer, and I'm quite satisfied with this unit's printing abilities and speed.Its a great improvement over a cheap inkjet in every way, except for the lack of color - but I didn't have any particular need for color printouts.But the feature that drew me to this unit was the 14-inch scanner on top.I would have bought a stand-alone printer if the scanner didn't tempt me.I have a standard scanner that I picked up for $20 at a sidewalk sale last...
