The ScanMaker 5800 from Microtek is a flatbed scanner with a high-quality output and a number of timesaving features. Seven smart-touch buttons automate frequently performed tasks, including scan, copy, PDF/OCR, email, scan-to-web, and others. With its Sigma Six CCD array, 4,800 x 2,400 dpi maximum optical resolution, and 48-bit color depth, scans are crisp, accurate, and true-to-life. The LightLid adapter scans 35mm slides and filmstrips.

Scanning speeds are as fast as 40 seconds for a 4-by-6-inch full color photo (limited resolution), while the 8.5-by-11.7-inch scanning area allows you to scan documents up to letter size.
