Worst printer I've ever owned

I have had dozens of printers and this is easily the worst. The ink cartridges dry out after about 2 day of not printing, the print quality is fair at best, and I've had more problems with the drivers than I can remember. Stay away from this one....

Excellent printer, great features

I got this printer free from Epson after my cx4600 (slightly older version) developed print head issues.[Note to any users/reviewers that are commenting on the cx4600 - the 4600 has an issue with the print heads stopping to recognize new ink.Though Epson wouldn't tell me straight out that it's known and all over, they offered me either a discount on a new one or to ship mine back to be fixed.(My warranty was long over)Turns out they took my printer (at their expense!) and shipped me a brand new...

Disposable printer

Based on my experience, this is a disposable product.My Epson CX4600 lasted about a year.It was always a little touchy and difficult to deal with, but usually I could get it to work, at least until a few days ago when I ran out of black ink.I replaced the cartridge, but still it wouldn't print in black.I ran several print head cleaning cycles (which burns through ALL your ink cartridges)and when it still didn't work, I tried another black cartridge...and then another.Finally I called Epson and they...

Shame on Epson

I bought a similar model, the CX4600, a little over a year ago and it will no longer print, no doubt due to one of the maladies noted in the reviews.Emails back and forth to Epson achieved nothing.Servicing it is pointless since it would cost more that the cost of the printer to have anyone begin to look at it.So it's off to the landfill.What are we doing to our planet with all the planned obsolescence in the computer hardware industry?...
