Product Description
The Canon imageCLASS D680 digital copier, printer, and fax is designed for businesses needing a robust multifunction copier with maintenance-free performance. Its L50 cartridge, which ships with the product, yields approximately 5,000 black-and-white copies at five percent density, for an economical $0.30 per copy. A 30-sheet automatic document feeder can accept originals up to legal size and reproduce letter-size documents at 13 copies per minute (cpm) and legal-size documents at 10 cpm.
For speed and convenience, Canon has incorporated into the imageCLASS D680 a Super G3 fax with a maximum modem speed of 33.6K, which can transmit a single page in as few as three seconds. The imageCLASS D680 can handle up to 255 pages in memory for faxing and uses Canon's Ultra High Quality image-enhancement technology to ensure images are scanned accurately. Maximum fax resolution, in ultra-fine mode, is 406 x 392 dpi. Additional fax features include 12 one-touch speed dials, 100 coded speed dials, group dialing, and directory dialing.
The iC D680 is backed by a three-year warranty (limited parts and labor) with free onsite service for the first year.

As a STANDALONE, or attached to ONE PC, this is every bit the product advertised.HOWEVER, the Canon IC D680 is not compatible with the print servers that come built into home networking hardware. You have to buy another $170 proprietary print server from Axis.I did, and regret it.The Canon/Axis combo is HIGHLY UNSTABLE on my network, especially when interfacing with Windows...
