Great Little DVD Player!!!
HiAfter reading the other posts, all I can figure is that I must be the lucky one.We bought this over a year ago (@ CircuitCity) for a vacation/flight for my then 1 year old. A year later we have taken this on multiple flights and use it almost daily on the back of the headrest in our car. It works like a charm & I love that it also plays VCD's in addition to DVD's, CD's.This little dvd player has been a life saver and we have put it under some pretty heavy use.My only tip is to buy the 'Car Bag...

1 star is too much....DO NOT BUY!
Okay, I don't have this model what I do have is the junk PDM-2727. JUNK JUNK JUNK! It claims it plays DVD-R's. RIGHT....with pauses in between, frames skipping, and very rare is the volume dropped (no audio). Now, you all are sitting there "uh, perhaps you backed it up incorrectly" or the "buy better media" or even the "that is piracy"....NO! I backed it up fine with the appropriate PROGRAMS! Yes..not just ONE program about 5 programs. I even backed it up burning the WHOLE dvd with commercials and...

PDM-0723 - Don't buy it!
My DVD Player worked about 10 times before it started to give me a "bad disc" error and shut down.It does this with brand new CDs and DVDs.Now nothing plays at all.Another thing that would happen when it did work, is that the screen would start to flicker with rainbow of colors at random times.Avoid this product.Polaroid should stick to instant cameras....

Piece of Junk
Bought it as a Christmas present for my 6-year old. Sparingly used.Yesterday, the picture flipped upside down - including the initial Polaroid logo and the setup menu! Nothing in the user manual or in web site shows this is a native feature. So I have to assume it'sa problem with the system. Company support line is of little or no use (apart from the extremely obvious switch off, disconnect battery etc). I believe it's a $150 lemon....

Do Not Purchase This DVD Player!
First, let me say I gave this product one star because zero was not an option. We bought this DVD player from a local Circuit City new in December 2005 as a Christmas present for my daughter. She used it a grand total of 5 times before the picture stopped showing. It has sound, but no picture, so it's useless. This is a very careful child, it was not dropped or mishandled in any way. Long story short, I called Polaroid and was led through some very minor troubleshooting (flip a switch, reboot.....
