Horrible life, expensive, and proprietary
I've owned a Powershot S330 for about a year.It uses this proprietary NB-1LH battery.I would warn anyone thinking about a camera that uses this particular battery to reconsider your choice of camera.I have two of these batteries, they've each been recharged less than 20 times, and they now hold less than 25 pictures worth of charge.And wouldn't you know it, they're only warrantied for 90 days.Canon's customer support says "sorry, rechargable batteries don't last forever".In this case they don't...

High priced item (large markup ?)
These "original" proprietary batteries always seem rather overpriced. A much better deal can be had over at sterlingtek.com for an equivalent battery - I have ordered from them(I am not affiliated with sterlingtek in any other way) and will post update if the battery quality holds up. Site related and product related positive reviews made me order from them....

Avoid this battery
I think this battery may be part of a scam. If you look at the text printed into the battery's plastic casing, it says NB-1L, yet on the sticker rating the battery, it says NB-1LH. I think this may actually be a lot capacity battery which is being marketed as a high capacity battery. To be honest, I haven't used it enough to say if it does differ much from the battery I received from Canon with my S400, but the fact that it is much lighter, and that some other users have complained about capacity...

Good, reliable battery - Highly recommended!!!
I got this battery when I bought my Canon Powershot S200, and I've since bought two extra batteries, one Canon (the battery reviewed), and one DigiPower equivalent.The original Canon batteries perform noticably better than the DigiPower battery, and they also stay fairly cool, as opposed to the DigiPower battery that gets dangerously hot during operation.I've had no problems running my Canon batteries, but the capacity is not all that impressive - hence the 3 batteries. An absolute minimum here...

BEWARE - This battery is made in China.
I recently bought a Canon S400 and was looking for a spare battery.I purchased the NB-1LH from amazon.com at a good price.There are two issues with this replacement battery:1. It is made in China (The original is made in Japan)2. It is noticeably lighter than the original.This may be good, if battery life is the same, but I suspect that weight has something to do with the overall quality of the guts.After about one months of tests, the battery lasts about 75% as long as the original.I am not impressed...
