HP PROLIANT DL380 G4 XEON 3.4G/800 ( 311143-001 ) Customer Reviews
Dependable workhorse!
-
I have been working on the Proliant series servers for last 7 years. This product never fails to satisfy on quality and reliability related issues. I found the DL380 G4 is more dependable than the Dell Poweredge series. I ordered the three of these servers to be used as application servers. The load on the servers are low, but they all run mission critical applications. Installation of these servers was easy (they just fit into the racks easily, and you don't have to deal with the problems like you see in IBM's rack mount series.). Also, the one feature that I found very useful is ILO (Integrated Lights Out), which is basically a client to allow remote access, even with out power. The build quality of the product is avant-garde!! Something that you will miss in Dell Poweredge Servers.
I ordered the servers with the following configuration:
311143-371 1X ProLiant DL380G4 / Dual Processor Capable / Intel 7520 server chipset / Xn 3.4 GHz(800MHz FSB) with 1MB L2 Cache / PC3200 DDR-II memory / 3-3-3 warranty
