ACDSee 4.0 is a picture viewer, graphic converter, and digital image manager that gives you intuitive, professional-quality imaging tools to capture, view, enhance, share, and organize images quickly. Digital image viewing and multimedia playing features include preview and full-view windows, zooming and panning, a multimedia slide show mode, and even a video and MPEG viewer, where you can also listen to sound files and embedded-image audio clips. The program comes with an intuitive interface that's customizable, to boot!
Perform image enhancement, correction, and conversion on individual and groups of images. Crop, rotate, flip, cut, and paste images with ACDSee 4.0's photo enhancer. Easy-to-use tools reduce red eye as well as adjust brightness, contrast, color depth, and more. Choose from filters to sharpen, blur, and despeckle pictures. Add effects like negative, emboss, sepia, and colorize. The robust plug-in architecture lets you add tools to extend functionality. ACDSee 4.0 starts you out with plug-ins for viewing and playing more than 50 multimedia file formats, sending images by e-mail, and more. Also included are plug-ins for creating and printing contact sheets and generating Web-ready HTML digital photo albums.

...I want to let potential buyers know five things.First, right now on Amazon.com ACDSee Power Pack 4.0 (which has the ACDSee 4.0 image viewer and two other programs) is priced at [current price]and is actually cheaper than the ACDSee 4.0 program purchased alone which is priced at [current price].Needless to say, the ACDSee Powerpack is the better buy. Version 4.02 is stable and good
I initally upgraded from Acdsee 3.1 SR1 to 4.0, and like a lot of people had stability problems, but 4.02 has proved very stable.I prefer Acdsee to ThumbsPlus or Compupic Pro.E-mailing via Acdsee is simple - I love it. Thumbnails in Acdsee also seem to be much clearer than in the competing products I tried.I also like the way I can click on a thumbnail image and choose the image editor I want to automatically open it in - Photoshop/PaintShop etc.Acdsee version 5 I hear will be available from the...

Sensational Image Viewer Program and Computer File Organizer
The best Image Viewer and computer file organizer available!!! Disappointing
ACDSee has a nice mix of funtions but it also has some problems.For me the biggest draw back is that it stops painting the thumbnails after I've been working for a while.Granted, I work with a lot of images (many thousands) but they claim it should handle it.Stopping and restarting the program gets it working again, but only for a while - and who doesn't love doing that!?. Support has been no help.Printing is weak - probably because they want to sell you an add on component.My advice would be to...
