Premium Features for High Quality Stereoscopic Imaging: This microscope is designed for professional grade viewing of a wide range of specimens. This microscope is manufactured with a .7x to 4.5x stereo zoom objective made from premium ground optical glass. Used in conjunction with the 10x (20mm) stereo eyepieces, you can achieve a continuous zoom magnification range of 7x through 45x right out of the box. We offer a range of optional eyepieces and objectivesas well. With our optional wide field 15x eyepieces, you can extend the viewing magnification range from to 10.5x through 67.5x, and with our optional 20x eyepieces, you can increase the continuous magnification range from 14x to 90x. Threaded auxiliary objective lenses are also available in .5x, 1.5x and 2x powers for even more options with a maximum 180x magnification possible.The main microscope head swivels 360 degrees for viewing from any angle, and the head itself sits at a comfortable 45 degree incline. The eyepieces sit in a gemel type assembly, allowing for maximum flexibility in adjusting the interpupillary distance. There is diopter focusing adjustments, and molded rubber eyecups are provided for your comfort. The focusing knob is on both the right and left side of the scope allowing for easy adjustment with either the right or left hand, and features a tension control mechanism allowing for adjustment of the focuser's sensitivity. Unlike many cheaper stereo microscopes, this model mounts on a height adjustable base, allowing the entire scope head to be adjusted higher or lower to accommodate very large specimens.This model has dual built-in infinitely variable halogen lighting. Spare halogen bulbs are included with your microscope. This enables you to make fine lighting adjustments from above and below the specimen -- a premium feature not available in cheaper models.
