Available for the first time for both Macintosh and Windows, Practica Musica 4 sets a new standard for music education software. Each Practica Musica 4 activity has four levels of difficulty making the program suitable for beginners and advanced musicians alike. It allows instructors unprecedented control over many aspects of each activity. Instructors can create their own specialized activities using either computer-generated source materials or custom-created example libraries. And new activities can be downloaded from Ars Novaâs website and added to Practica Musica 4 as they become available. Includes the textbook "Exploring Theory with Practica Musica" (Evans), which has both written exercises and references to a library of special Practica Musica activities designed to support the text, including the ability to hear all the music examples. QuickTime Musical Instruments (Mac) is now supported, as are SoundBlaster-compatible sound cards (PC). Input is via an on-screen piano keyboard, on-screen guitar fretboard, the computer keyboard, or an external MIDI keyboard. OMS and USB MIDI are supported.
