By far the best case for an iPod

This a great case for the iPod. I set mine on top of my friends car (with the iPod in it) and he drove away. Not only did he get a mile before it fell off because of the rubber coating, but there was hardly a scratch on the outside when I luckily found it on the side of the road. You could clean it if you want, but there's no point because it just gets dirty again. I'd recommend this case to anyone.

This case is the best case by far for the iPod

I bought this case back in the fall of 2005 when the 60GB Video iPod first came out. I was worried about my new iPod getting scratched the way my fourth generation iPod did. So I decided to give this case a try.
My iPod is still in perfect condition to this date because of this case. I took the iPod out of the case today for the first time in months and it still looks looks brand new! The case comes with foam padding to cushion the iPod inside the case. The case itself is a hard shell with a smooth feel to it and a clear plastic front and back.
The video iPod has a bigger screen (2.5in) and the earphone jack is in a different place than my old iPod. But it fit in this case perfectly. It does not cover the viewing area at all, which was one thing I was worried about.
The other cases I had required me to remove the iPod periodically. With this case, once you put the iPod in it there is no reason to remove it. You can plug everything into it without having to remove the iPod at all.
I would recommend this case to anyone who uses their iPod as much as I do. The case has withstood over a year of abuse and it cleans up nicely. The only wear I can see is that the clear plastic front has a few sctratches. But better the case than my iPod!9/16/2006 12:00 AM | Rating:

I have the U2 limited IPOD, and the last thing I want to do
is scratch up the etched signatures nor would I want to cover
them up...this great case makes everthing visible while encasing
them in a hard protective shell.Very well designed and fully

I use my 4G 40gb iPod daily and the Contour Showcase protects and shows it off beautifully.To address a couple of issues people have pointed out: No, it doesn't work with the iTrip.However, I very carefully used a Dremel tool to slightly enlarge the opening on top and now it will accomodate the iTrip just fine.Also, the lack of clickwheel protection has been mentioned by some people.I got a stick-on wheel 'skin' from Power Support (about $12 for two) and now everything is completely covered up.My iPod only comes out of it's case to go in the dock or my portable speakers and still looks almost as good as the day I bought it.If the time ever comes that it needs to be replaced, I will get a black one as it does get a bit dirty looking.It cleans up pretty well but the white color is a bit duller than when new.All in all though; no complaints here.

Good protection, easy to remove

Like the iSee from the same company, this case protects the iPod while providing easy access to the controls and inputs.Unlike the iSee, this case can be easily removed so the iPod can fit in a Bose SoundDock or similiar device.This case also is not entirely clear, and the white trim does tend to show wear more than the clear iSee.Also includes a foam insert to make the case compatible with all fourth generation iPods.
