iPod is OK, just don't buy from Amazon....

I ordered and received the 60GB iPod from Amazon three days ago. Everything was going fine until the device locked up. After going online to Apple "help", re-loading software and attempting to reset it a dozen times, I gave up and called Apple tech support.I'm well within my 90 day free tech support window. Apple told me that since I bought it from Amazon, they had no way to know when it shipped, so NO TECH SUPPORT! BUYER BEWARE, if you purchase this from Amazon, you are giving up your 90 days of...

I didn't particularly want one

I wasn't really interested in iPods. My youngest son got one of these for Christmas last year and I conceded it was cool, but didn't see the point. After all, I had XM satellite radio and all the music I could stand.Then my wife walked me into the Apple Store on my birthday last July and announced that she and my two sons were buying me the biggest iPod available.I quickly discovered how cool it can be to have ALL of my tunes available all of the time. What can you say? It's the iPod

Arguable the best product Apple has ever made, the iPod Video (5G) does exactly what it's supposed to, in the best looking package, with the best user interface.For all the talk of iPod killers, I don't see it happening anytime soon.There's simply nothing better or easier to use than the iPod + iTunes package out there for 95% of consumers.This is the thin wedge into Microsoft's empire!...

One of the best impulse buys ever...

We own tons of music, and after owning a megar 700M Rio mp3 player and jumping to an iPod...well there's no comparison! The iPod changed the way we listen to music - perhaps forever. There's nothing that can beat having all of your music in one place where you can draw from a vast library and well...it's extremely entertaining. I would whole-heartedly recommend it for anyone and wish I had enough money to buy everybody I know one for a present because they're great....

Don't leave home without it!

I am in disbelief when I see reviews that are mad at Apple because they have to re-upload their digital music to a new computer or because they lost their songs because he wanted to add a cd.First off burn all your songs on to a DVD and be done with it.Lastly, learn how to use your own software and hardware and you would not have lost your music because of your ineptitude.Ranting done, it is bad luck to have your iPod break on you.But this is inevitable.Millions of iPods are made and there are most...
