Perfect balance of price, battery life, and size

Given the short life of the battery included with my Sony DCR-TRV38 camcorder, I wanted an affordable battery with better hold.This battery fits my camera, and offers sigificant run time over the standard battery.Of course, it does stick out a bit more, but the sliding eye piece extends enough to clear this extra depth.I recently used this battery on a vacation and I went through two tapes and still show two dots (out of four) on the built-in charge indicator.My original battery would expire before...

Battery worked about 2 times. Then died.

I purchased a battery for my camcorder. It only lasted for about two charges....

Big capacity battery with charge level indicator - excellent

This battery powers my HC1 camera for hours.It's noticably heavier that the smaller stock battery but it is not in the way of using the viewfinder as I'd worried.Surprisingly the extra lengthmakes it easier to hold the HC1 steady.When using the viewfinder I can press the longer battery against my cheek bone to steady it.Highly recommended.I haven't seen any need for Sony's even larger battery.This one is plenty....
