Beware Sportsman Guide Bino is NOT what's advertised

I just read Mr. Vanderveer's explanation and Now I see clearly. I too bought the Brunton Lite Tech 10 x 42 Binocular from Sportsman Guide. It arrived and I looked at an image about a 100 Yds away(a decorative eagle on a neighbor's house". I saw a double image( 2 eagles). Got out an old pair of binocs I had and there was no problem. Tried to focus and adjust to no avail. I sent them back to Sportsman Guide for credit. Ordered a replacement pair figuring I got a defective one. I assume the replacements...

Attention this is NOT model 5030. This is model 5034!

In a local sports store I saw a Brunton Lite Tech 10x42 binocular, which seemed to be quite good, but at over $200 it is something to think about a little bit. So, I looked on the web and on Amazon I found this Brunton 10x42 Lite Tech for about $80, offered via Sportsman's Guide. Wow what a price difference! Indeed as they claim: HUGE savings. The picture on the site looked a little bit different from the picture I saw on other places.So, It must be last years model. So what? As long as the optics...
