The Price of Protection

The jury is still out on the effectiveness of this power center, as it has not been put to the test.The unit's LED's do function properly, but the one negative is how snugly it secures onto a wall plate.You can tighten and tighten and tighten the long center screw, but all you will do is distort the face plate behind the unit until it cracks.Your only option is to snug the screw down sufficiently to not allow the power center to dislodge from the face plate when pulling a power cord from said unit...

The purchase was made to protect my investment of a subwoofer that costed over $1000.The product is well worth the cost for what it will protect.The product indicates protection from voltage and current spikes.Plus this product is great for equipment not located near the main theater equipment power surger....

sw 200 saves subwoofers again

I have two subwoofers with a home theater system.My SW200s have saved the subwoofers three times (while giving up their lives).First time was after a large ice storm (Feb 03).Second time was the aftermath of a hurricane (Isabel).Third time was after an small ice storm that was accompanied by high winds (Feb 05).Each time power conked out and came back on (with a big surge)....

Priceless

Went searching for a two outlet surge protector mainly just to protect my CD player and use the other outlet for my headphone amp when I discovered that it does some other important things as well.First,it's contacts are 24k gold plated providing very good performance. Second, it has Monster's stage 1 clean power curcuitry built into the unit that reduces the common pollution that comes from everyones standard house outlet.Also very easy to install;just remove the single screw on your standard wall...
