The IW6S in-wall speakers from AudioSource are designed to accurately reproduce music from today's demanding digital signals. In-wall speakers are designed so that the wall and the space behind it actually become the speaker cabinet; as such, the speaker depth is only 3 inches. Mounted flush to the wall, they require absolutely no floor space. This discrete, compact format is ideal for applications where traditional speakers would be impractical or impossible--or simply unsightly.

In-wall speakers may be used independently where space is a consideration, or to bring music from your living-room system to additional rooms in the house. They handle amplifier loads up to 75 watts per channel, and can also be used to enhance and enrich subwoofer and surround-sound systems, for which they are especially well suited when mounted just behind and on either side of your home-theater listening area.

The speakers feature 6.5-inch polypropylene woofers with long-life butyl rubber surrounds. Moisture-resistant, swivel-mounted 1-inch tweeters grant placement flexibility, as the tweeters can be directed as you choose.

The speaker terminals will accommodate up to 16-gauge speaker wire, which should be used for longer connections (greater than 50 feet of wire). For shorter distances, 18- or 20-gauge speaker wire will be adequate. AudioSource's solid dogleg mounting system simplifies installation, and you may paint the metal speaker grilles, as well as the frames, to match any room.
