Designed with the professional DJ in mind, the CD player mirrors the functions of the typical DJ turntable, letting users cue, bend, and mix their favorite tracks for club or recording purposes. The CDN15's controls are focused around an interactive jog wheel, which DJs can use to create cue points, rapidly search through a specific track, or bend the pitch to create a quicker or slower tempo. The faster one turns the jog wheel (also known as the pitch wheel), the more the pitch changes. Conversely, releasing the wheel returns the track to its original pitch. The wheel employs a number of finger grip indentations to make it easy to spin, and offers a corresponding pitch range of +/- 8 and 16 percent.

DJs will also appreciate such features as track sequence programming (for creating custom arrangements), a sleep mode that preserves the lifespan of the laser, and all-rubber buttons that hold up durably to club use. And DJs aren't restricted to prerecorded CDs, as the CDN15 supports CD-R discs burned on a home computer. The illuminated display is full featured as well, with visual indicators for minutes and seconds, frames (75 per second) for more accurate cuing, and current pitch.

THE CDN15 measures 18.98 by 3.48 by 10.11 inches (W x H x D) and fits comfortably within a rack to complement other components. It also carries a two-year warranty.
