Product Description
Attention, all bass lovers needing small speakers: this stately pair of Venturi DV62si bookshelf speakers from BIC America uses a patented and specially tuned rear-panel Venturi port to extend the its low-frequency response to an impressive 43 Hz, nearly a full octave below the capabilities of most bookshelf speakers--the place where kick drums kick and bass guitars growl their deepest. The 2-way speakers would suitably fill out your home theater with surround sound, enliven your dorm or apartment with music, or provide gentle background ambience in your bedroom or business.
Use one pair for stereo or surround applications or pick up 2 pairs (4 speakers) for use as the front and surround elements in a multichannel listening system. The speakers are magnetically shielded for distortion-free placement near your television or computer monitor. Video programs sound more lifelike and enveloping with timbrally matched speakers all around, and plenty of newer music formats--from the DTS surround CD to DVD-Audio and SACD--offer music from your favorite artists mixed expressly for surround-sound listening. (Alternately, you could use these as surround speakers with larger, floorstanding speakers for the front left/right channels.)
Standing just under 15 inches tall, the DV62si speakers each use a custom-designed .75-inch, ferrofluid-cooled dome tweeter for extended high frequencies and a 6-inch poly/graphite-blend woofer is light yet rigid for tight, accurate, and remarkably extended bass.
What's in the Box

Try and find a better deal for the price
I consider myself a fairly estute audiophile. While I cannot afford Macintosh/Martin Logan receiver/speaker systems or any of the other "High" end audio equipment, I try and get the best value for my hard earned money. I purchased a pair of the DV62si to put in the home office and hooked them up to the Harman Kardon receiver. The Harman Kardon used to be the receiver running my home theatre system, but after five years of no hassle use, I decided to purchase a Denon reciever to run the home theatre...

Great Speakers on a Budget
Terrific sound right out of the box, even better with some age.Phenomenal sound when combined with a subwoofer.Definitely recommended, great sound especially for the price!...

Great speakers for the price
Bought in April, 'broke' them in as advised. Not being an audiophile, I can't be scientific in my opinion.I use these speakers as fronts for a 7.1 surround setup with a Yamaha RX-V659 receiver and a Yamaha S5750 DVD/CD player.I listen to classical, baroque, and DJ-remixes/electronica.Music sounds natural and fantastic in my 20'x30'x9' room; almost no need for a subwoofer.Movies are a pleasure to listen to.I think only in superlatives for these speakers - and I haven't gotten the special crossover...

excellent value
I'm delighted with the performance of these speakers and am very pleased with the value-for-money ($127). I'm not terribly impressed by their appearance, but I supposed I could've paid 2+ times the price for a comparable sound and a nicer design. That wasn't in my budget....

Big sound, little package
I just wrote a review of the the Dv-62CLRS speaker, which is a top of the line centerspeaker. When I bought the DV-62CLRS I alsogot a pair of the DV-62si's.Ipaired them together with the DV-62CLRS speaker as my front speakers for my sourond sound system matched to a Rotel Processor and Parasound Amp.After close to a 100 hour burn in these speaker started to come to life. All I can say is that for the price they just can not be beaten. It is a shame that most stereo stores do not stock these so as...
