A Great DVD Player For At A Low Price!!!
I bought the black model. I just love my M270-B black DVD player, because it's small, compact and it come with a 7'' TFT "LCD" Liquid Crystal Display, it's a good size, not too big not too little. The color change when moved at different angles. But the video quality is great. Built-in musical speakers & earphones? OH MY GOD! The DVD player's built-in sound quality is horrible!!! I recommed a very good pair of speakers or a great pair of headphones!! Like a pair of Logitech's Mid-range speakers...

Do not get cheated by price and fancy features!
Had m270 as a gift about 6 months ago. At first glance, the features of the player seemed to be promising but then ....- No sound after 2 weeks (look at their website; they recommend you to buy amplifiers)- LCD screen started to fade right away, had to always connect adapter to see the LCD screen (what a portable device)- Stopped reading DVDs after 4 weeks (Nice mp3 player)Though I had warranty, it took 3 months to have it changed. Troubles
I got this same AMW Portable DVD player for Christmas last year.It lasted only 2 months, more or less. I experienced the same problems as other reviewers here: it wouldn't recognize the DVD disc/movie.It became a blank screen, or just turned into an MP3 player other than a DVD player, as it was intended.Since I got this as a Christmas gift, my sister seached all over to find the receipt w/warrenty so I can take it in to get it fixed.That happened last week, finally.They let me trade it in for another...

Backup battery
I agree with one of the reviewer about having a backup battery on hand. Even though the battery that came with the unit has a playback time of about 2.5 hours, it just doesn't seem to provide enough playback time when watching an extended movie. The unit shuts down before the movie is over. So, I checked with AMW and they directed me to their website at www.a-mw.com, and they said that they are now carrying an extended type battery which provides a playback time of upto 5 hours. I say almost, because mine just broke the other day.But for the past 8 months my girlfriend and I have used and enjoyed the m280 so much, we dubbed it "the precious" (watched Lord of the Rings on it while traveling-a lot!).I looked for a while before I bought this particular model:for the price, the picture can't be beat!I may just buy another one.You definitly need a back-up battery.And use headphones or port. speakers.All in all mine was worth the $179.99 I paid....
